1st take at an Immerseus guide
So the guild got started a bit late in SoO, and we only really raid 2 days a week. Both Immerseus and the Fallen Protectors are interesting fights. Having cleared both of these encounters on both 10 man Normal and Flex, I can finally see a few hints for these fights. More after the jump break below.

Proving Grounds
I think Proving Grounds are a good idea. I like the idea of
it being a “training dummy for tanks”, and is a good chance to test out new
talents, or learn how to tank if you are a beginner, without the pressures of
being in a dungeon with a group that is depending on you. I do not however
think it’s a good test of skill or ability. There are some general “mechanics”
you are introduced to; manage the poo on the ground, knockbacks, picking up
adds, caster mob movement via interrupts, however none of these are new tricks
to experienced raiders. Never the less I think it’s an interesting meta game
and I will most likely see how long I can go in Endless once this feature comes
to live.
Brewmaster Macros
I use tons of macros when I play and they are one of my favorite
things in WoW. Most are just quality of life improvements, not game changing,
however unlike add-ons, macros are not stored locally. It’s super nice to have customization
follow you from machine to machine if you switch a lot like I do. I've decided to list them here for a
reference.

So, a blog post eh?
We’ll I’ve been toying with the idea of spending some time
blogging again for a while now. I really liked it when I was playing my priest, and feel comfortable enough with the Monk class to put my thoughts out there. I find myself in a strange predicament. I haven’t
played my prest in a bit, so that blog is now, and will have to stay dead
(although I recently DID level him to 90 and have begun LFRing). I play my monk
tank now exclusively and have a few ideas for posts, but how do I start when my
last post was during MOP beta? I guess this post will be that boring one where
I tell my whole WoW story as an introduction and get to more of the posts I’d
like to be doing afterwards. I don’t like doing posts like this, but I think it’s
necessary for me to just start typing and get things going. That’s the real
reason I’m doing this. I fought down the inclination to say that I think this
is a better way to start the blog than jumping right in; so as to give context
in my observations in light of my past in game expierences. But that’s not
true. I’m just not a good writer and need to type out a bunch of stuff to get
my head in the right place. You’ve been warned not to read this post. J
